”I gave birth to my second son 7 weeks ago and I am still in “labor bliss”!  Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have had such awesome support with me.  I am a single Mom and having Mandy’s support was essential and amazing.  She knew exactly what I needed and when.  I felt completely at ease with her which allowed me to focus solely on my laboring body.  When I needed space to focus inward she was peacefully supportive and when I needed comfort she was there for me to rest my head on her shoulder.  I couldn’t have planned a better birth experience!  Thank you Mandy!”

“As a first time mom seeking a natural birth, I wasn't sure what to expect and was more than a little nervous about labor and delivery.  But from our first meeting early on in my third trimester until the big day, Mandy made me feel empowered and cared for.  My birth was unmedicated in a birth center and was challenging as I needed to push for five hours to bring my little girl down.  Mandy's support was invaluable during this time; she was right there with us, ready to adapt and provide whatever was needed in the moment.  Her support did not end with the birth of our daughter; her postpartum visit was both comforting and hugely helpful as my husband and I began adapting to our new life as parents.  Mandy's passion for what she does is evident in the care she provides and any family would be so lucky to have her as part of their birth team.”

I reached out to Mandy to gain support around the birth of my second child as I was hoping for a vbac delivery. Mandy was very friendly and easy to get to know and feel comfortable around. She provided me with a ton of resources to support my goal of having a vbac delivery. She also welcomed conversations around my fear of having another cesarean birth and my feelings around my first birth. As I labored she also supported my husband who was feeling exhausted and under the weather by stepping in to give him breaks. A few things did not go according to plan during delivery and she was a great sounding board to be able to share my thoughts and concerns with in the moment. Ultimately we welcomed my second child through cesarean birth as well and she was a great support in the OR as my husband tended to our newborn son and she was able to stay with me, lowering my anxiety and comforting me. She completed a postpartum visit the next day and processed the birth with me, which I found very helpful as I began to process my feelings around not having my "ideal birth". I would recommend Mandy's services to anyone looking to get connected with a doula for support in their delivery.”
